Here are some of the activities that have been run at the Furnival
Young people's homework clubs, training courses, meetings, art workshops for women, English classes, creche, evening classes, sewing group, cookery classes and introduction to Middle Eastern cookery, open mic, youth club for 5–8s, pottery classes, stop smoking, intro to community leadership for women, self-defence for women, confidence building for women, stress management training, all-day events and festivals, poetry slam, drop-in sessions, advice sessions, band practice, Eid parties, prayer meetings, church group, private catering...
Room Hire
The Furnival has two rooms, the Cafe and the Green Room, and a kitchen available for hire. Both rooms comfortably accommodate up to 30 people, and offer access to the kitchen, which is suitable for catering purposes.
We can put tables and chairs in either room, and provide basic equipment, such as a flipchart and stand. The Green Room is suitable for use as a creche for up to 2 hours. All rooms are on the ground floor with wheelchair access and disabled loo.
